Diamond Mansion was founded with one magnified purpose: To offer designer & high quality diamond jewelry at a revolutionary price while leading the way for a world class customer experience.
As part of the DIAMOND MONSION luxury diamond online store project, I was responsible for conducting UX research, a site audit, and proposing an improved mega menu to enhance navigation and product discovery. The goal was to create a more intuitive, visually engaging shopping experience that allows users to find their desired diamond styles effortlessly.
Through my research and audit, I identified key pain points in the existing menu:
• The previous navigation lacked visual clarity, making it difficult for users to differentiate categories.
• Users had trouble finding specific diamond shapes or engagement ring styles quickly.
• The absence of visual cues resulted in a less engaging browsing experience.
To improve usability, I designed a new mega menu that introduces:
✅ Category Cards with Images – Each product category now features an image preview, helping users recognize and select their desired section faster.
✅ Diamond Shape Filters with Visual Previews – The menu now presents diamond types through images. Users can click on, for example, “Oval Diamonds”, and instantly see engagement rings featuring oval diamonds.
✅ Streamlined Layout & Improved Hierarchy – The new structure ensures better readability and quicker access to high-priority categories.
After the design was developed, I conducted a thorough QA process to:
🔹 Ensure the menu functions smoothly across devices.
🔹 Verify that each category and image-based navigation leads to the correct product pages.
🔹 Check responsiveness and interaction effects for a seamless user experience.
The updated mega menu significantly improved user engagement, navigation speed, and product discovery, offering a more refined and luxurious shopping experience that aligns with DIAMOND MONSION’s brand identity.
